When a portable holography table is taken into different classrooms, the conditions for exposure are unpredictable and there often is not time to trouble shoot the setup with multiple exposures.  One chance is typically all that is given.  But temperature variations and component heating changes can be compensated for with a fringe stabilizer to ensure a successful holographic exposure.
