Here is a clever way to get more sensitivity. H1 is a hologram taken with the origianl set up. H2 is what we want to expose. When the reference and object beam cross, they form and interference pattern which in turn interferes with the fixed fringes of H1. The resuting morie fringes are picked up by the Stabilcok II which locks them in place.
